GlobeCaster Helps Middle School Students Broadcast Original Programming Worldwide.

The versatility and ease-of-use of GlobeCaster has enabled middle schoolers to become bona fide broadcasters.

GlobeCaster; integrates all the components of a traditional studio into a single, affordable, all-in-one solution that enables educational institutions to produce, present and deliver television-quality broadcasts live or on-demand over virtually any medium.

Aviara Oaks Middle School in Carlsbad, California uses their GlobeCaster to produce three original shows per week, which are broadcasted each Monday morning at 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. (PST) on their local cable channel and on the Web at www.aviaraoaksmiddle.com. The program attracts a worldwide audience of students and teachers.

GlobeCaster's ease-of-use has enabled the shows to be produced by the 6th, 7th, and 8th graders of Aviara Oaks.

According to faculty advisor Doug Green, "The drag and drop and PC/Windows format helps decrease the learning curve for the students, so it has been easy for them to master the technology, and GlobeCaster is ideal for a school or educational environment because it is both easy to transport and requires only a small space to build a full studio."

The students have live control over multiple video sources and can edit multiple sources in real-time including video, audio, transitions and effects. The technology is also used to support virtual set compositing, titling and digital video effects. Because their Internet-streamed broadcasts have qualified them for press credentials, the students of Aviara Oaks have even covered events such as San Diego Padres baseball games and the Academy Awards.

GlobeCaster is playing an essential role in many other educational environments as well.
