NOTES

All GlobeCaster release versions will not work on Trinity systems. It will only work with GlobeCaster hardware or upgraded Trinity hardware. Customers interested in upgrading their Trinity to GlobeCaster should contact GlobalStreams directly. They will work for all GC products: GC Studio (4000 and 8000), GC Live and GC Post. The GC Live and GC Post product lines have been merged into the GC Studio 4000. All references to the GC Studio 4000 or the GC Studio 8000 are inclusive of the GC Live and GC Post products.

GlobeCaster 3.5

• GlobeCaster 3.5 Build 3503 Software

  Build 3503 was released on September 2nd, 2009 and is the official release of 3.5 software.

  Due to several changes to file locations and improvements to the applications, it is strongly recommended that you uninstall your old software before installing 3.5 Build 3503. When uninstalling you will only need to remove the software and can leave the Bins directory intact. Also make sure you delete any shortcuts for the previous software versions.

  Features of 3.5 Build 3503 include:

  • Input Monitors large and medium view
  • Keyer Framestore Info Panel update (fixes known issue with external file format support)
  • Power Point to Stills - Supports more export types and sizes
  • Multi-Audio clip adjustment in Editor - Select multiple clips in editor and adjust audio for all
  • DSK to DSK copying - Load DSK's from 1 card to another in the Switcher

You must be also running Windows 2000 or Windows XP Professional. Window NT is no longer supported. With the advent of new audio features and functionality, the legacy Graham Patton audio module is also no longer supported.

GlobeCaster 3.3

• GlobeCaster 3.3 Build 3381 Software

  Build 3381 was released on July 7th, 2008 and is the official release of 3.3 software.

  Due to several changes to file locations and improvements to the applications, it is strongly recommended that you uninstall your old software before installing 3.3 Build 3381. When uninstalling you will only need to remove the software and can leave the Bins directory intact. Also make sure you delete any shortcuts for the previous software versions.

  This installer features both the PAL and the NTSC versions of the installer. CS-100 users will also need to download and install the updated CS-100 software for 3.2 if not already installed, as this will allow the CS-100 to function with 3.3 Build 3380 Software.

  It is necessary to be under warranty to download this new release version. You must be also running Windows 2000 or Windows XP Professional. Window NT is no longer supported. With the advent of new audio features and functionality, the legacy Graham Patton audio module is also no longer supported.

GlobeCaster 3.2

• SoftVGA for 3.2 Software
  GlobeCaster SoftVGA is a utility application that, when used in conjunction with the VNCViewer application, allows the user to capture the screen display from a remote computer and show it as a GlobeCaster DSK effect or as an 8th input. You must be running 3.2 software to utilize this application. You may view the SoftVGA documentation HERE.

• GlobeCaster 3.2 Build 3361 Software, ACE and Peripherals

  WARNING: The new Low Level Format in the Time Machine Format utility is NOT intended for general use. Low level formats of SCSI drives normally takes HOURS to complete. Only use the Low Level Format option if you need to make sure all data is erased for security reasons or to try and revive a failing hard drive.

  Build 3361 was released on Jan. 29th 2007 and is the Official Final Build of 3.2 software.

  CS-100 users will also need to download and install the updated CS-100 software for 3.2.

GlobeCaster 3.1 Software and ACE

• 1GB RAM Switcher Card Patch

  It is necessary to be under warranty to download this patch. You must be running version 3.1 software for this patch to be installed. This patch is only needed by customers who have purchased the new 1GB RAM Switcher Card or purchased a new GlobeCaster unit but are installing the software on a seperate pc.

• GlobeCaster 3.1 (build 3356) Software and ACE

  It is necessary to be under warranty to download this new release version. You must be also running Windows 2000 or Windows XP Professional. Window NT is no longer supported. With the advent of new audio features and functionality, the legacy Graham Patton audio module is also no longer supported.

• GlobeCaster CS-100 1.1

  This is the software required to operate the CS-100 with version 3.1 software. You must be running version 3.1 software for this version of the CS-100 software to function. This version of the CS-100 software fixes some T-Bar issues and allows you to have better control over how the T-Bar responds. You may need to recalibrate your T-Bar after installing this new software. Also view the Macro Manager Guide.

GlobeCaster 3.0 Software and ACE

• GlobeCaster 3.0.2 Patch (build 3335)

  It is necessary to be running version 3.0 software for this patch to be installed. The major update is the support of the new 1 GB RAM DSK card. There are also many updates and bug fixes.

• GlobeCaster 3.0 Unleashed (build 3333) Software and ACE

  It is necessary to be under warranty to download this new version. You will be able to download the new version along with the documentation in a PDF format and the new version of the ACE Seat Licence.

GlobeCaster 2.9 Software

• GlobeCaster 2.9.1 (build 3199)

  This is a new version for GC Studio (4000 or 8000) adds new features and stability including timeline flattening and loading DSKs and FXs.

• GlobeCaster 2.9A Release (build 3192)

  This is a new version for GC Studio (4000 or 8000) adds new features and stability.
