GlobeCaster 3.0.2 Software

This is a patch to GlobeCaster version 3.0. You will need to have 3.0 currently installed for this patch to be applied and bring your system to version 3.0.2

This release will only function on a GlobeCaster or an upgraded Trinity that is running version 3.0 software.

Note: This version REQUIRES a 1 MB Static RAM module on the Coordinator Card. If the GlobeCaster has a Time Machine or a DV/IO card, this memory module has been installed. This new version of software will not function without this memory update. Click here to check your Coordinator Card's memory

Following are a list of some enhancements and bug fixes included with this version:

Switcher/Editor
• Support for the NEW DSK card that has 1GB RAM
• TMClip timecode boxes now honor the PAL format
• Mark All button is disabled with the rest of the controls
• Loading a timeline from the position bar starts with the events that intersect the position bar and moves forward event
• Limit Output button on the Output Settings panel should now correctly show the current state
• Loading a Switcher playout in 1024 mode for the first time should now be correct
• Flattening no longer allows gaps
• Fixed Flattening bugs with respect to Chroma Key "effects"
• Although the DVIO board is considered an Input card, it can now be recognized by the Output Settings if it is in an Output Slots and not the 8th input
• Default playout file's name is changed (in the GC bins), the change is acknowledged and the default playout will follow the new file name
• Exporting audio bug fixed

Animator/Compositor
• Fixes to Undo (e.g., dropping graphic texture on stroke)
• A stroke's X & Y translation can now be animated independently
• Improved stroke selection for 2-point strokes via interpolation
• Fix memory leaks & resource leaks
• 16:9 stills & wipes should now save
• Can Pick a stroke using the timeline's stroke event
• Text characters now positioned correctly relative to one another
• "Animate Pos" stroke menu item replaced with "Add Keyframe"
• Show Wipe menu item is checked when enabled
• Small View button now switches to a different layout
